As you may have noticed, my project for June is to blog EVERY book I read (not counting individual manga/comic volumes). I'm sure I won't do EVERY book, but I have already successfully blogged MORE books than I normally do.

Anyone want to join me? I think it would be fun. As you've noticed, I'm not necessarily writing in-depth reviews, just some notes and comments. I find that people are more likely to comment if you write up one book at a time, rather than a bunch at a time.

I had already resolved to do that for June! (Especially since a bunch of stuff I'm working on reading is technically review copies...) I will do my best to join in even though I'm way out of practice (and mine will probably be 90% manga.)

I'm out here trying every day 😬

(I very much hope this initiative takes off!)

I will do my best to join you, although I haven't reviewed anything in months.

This is a big challenge but I'll square up to the base, starting now: I just started Alan Garner's Red Shift a couple of hours ago.

I would talk about it! but sadly I didn't like it a lot, and it sounds like you loved it?

Ah well. (The major problem I had with it is people keep saying it's a Tam Lin retelling and I didn't see that at all, and I also greatly disliked Tom and how the narrative treated the women.)

I'll be curious to know what you think! I bounced off it pretty hard, but some people I know love it.

Aww, is there a reason you're not doing Readsday? I love that a whole lot, it reminds me of how everyone on LJ used to post meta and fic and reactions on the same days. You could still make separate posts for each book if you did that?

Yes! I love it. A lot of the time it causes sort of ripples on my flist, which is neat.

Definitely too busy for this right now, though I'm going to try to keep up my Reading Wednesday posts. But I'm here in the cheering section, and look forward to reading all these posts!

Oof. I will try to do that, but I can already tell that it's going to be a couple of sentences per book, and several books per post. But it sounds pretty cool and I know I'm missing some good discussion of books by not posting about them (e.g., when I finally got around to writing up Lifelode and Among Others).

Appreciating your posts! I also already do this, but usually with two books per post. Although now I'm behind on my posting because of having had internet-free adventures...

I am enjoying your write-ups! I am barely reading these days but maybe reading about people reading will inspire me.

I think this a great idea! I've been trying to get more non-required reading in over the summer.

I always do this anyways (my Reading Wednesdays) but I applaud having more people writing about their reading!

I'll join you! This sounds fun, and actually more practical than the way I've been tending to post about books.

(Also, I don't think I've said hello before -- hello! I've been enjoying reading along in a mostly lurking fashion).

This is a great idea and I will attempt to join in! (in amongst grappling with my terrible backlog of books read but not yet written up. Usually when I contemplate it I end up reading another book in order to avoid it...)

Cool idea! I'm doing a take on this. I'm not sure I'll do every book I'm reading, but I'll book ramble more.
