My AO3 name is Edonohana. Thank you for creating for me!
I am very open to treats. If you have any questions, please ask the mods to check with me.
I am a very easy recipient and will be delighted with whatever you make for me. I have no special requirements beyond what's specifically stated in my DNWs. I'm fine with all styles of art beyond what's listed in my DNWs. In writing, I'm fine with all POVs (i.e., first, second, third), tenses, ratings, lengths, etc. I enjoy both shipfic and gen. I am fine with sex if it suits the story, or no sex if that suits the story.
General Likes: Hurt-comfort, action/adventure, horror (especially folk & cosmic), canon-divergence AUs, domestic life, survival situations, mysterious alien technology, worldbuilding, evocative descriptions, camaraderie, loyalty, trauma recovery, learning to love again or trust again or enjoy life again, difficult choices, Groundhog Days and Peggy Sues, miniature things, food, and animals.
General DNWs:
Art-specific DNWs:
- Pixel art.
- Visible genitalia or penetration. (Breasts are fine, genitalia just barely hidden by water/bedsheets/etc are fine, penetration clearly happening but not actually visible is fine.)
- Any bodily fluids other than sweat, blood, and tears.
- Graphic mutilation. (Bloodspatters, bruises, bandages, etc are fine.)
Fic DNWs
- Issuefic (preachiness; stories whose main point is some kind of political/social issue), current political figures.
- Literal Covid (other illnesses with similar symptoms are fine, as are pandemics or epidemics in general), real-life terminal illness like cancer (non-realistic stuff like super-soldiers with a limited lifespan is fine), dementia and permanent brain damage (magical or temporary amnesia and similar things are fine), digestive upsets, graphic dental trauma, and the gross kinds of bodily waste (blood, sweat, and tears are fine).
- A/B/O, PWP/porn without plot (sex in a story that also has plot or character or relationship stuff going on is fine!), adult/child sex (references to canon child sexual abuse are fine), spanking, infantilization.
- Non-canon human pregnancy and babies or a heavy focus on canon human pregnancy or babies. (Baby aliens, adorable kittens, older human children, etc, are fine).
- Permanent death of requested characters or characters who don't die in canon, unless I specifically say it's OK for that canon. Presumed dead or temporary death (as in a time loop) is fine, so long as it's reversed by the end. Original character deaths are fine.
Cat in the Mirror - Mary Stolz - Fic
Erin Gandy | Irun & Seti Gammel
My DNW for requested character death doesn't apply to Irun and other ancient Egypt characters if the context is that from the perspective of present Erin, they've all been dead for 3000 years. I'd prefer no gruesome details if it turned out that the boy pharaoh had them all killed.
What happens after the end of the book? What conversation do they have after he greets her? Does it change her perspective and/or her relationships? Does it change his perspective and/or relationships? Do they try to figure out what happened to the ancient Egypt characters? What's it like for them to return to the museum after their experience - do they spot anything they recognize?
What's their next incarnation? Is it really on Mars? (I'd be up for another incarnation in a different time period with a separation of less than 3000 years.)
What if after Erin wakes up, she finds that she has Irun in her head? I'd be delighted with 300 words of Irun experiencing New York City.
Of the other characters, I especially love Flora/F'lret and Ta-she.
The book is out of print, but you can find a pdf here.
Dark Tower - King - Fic or Art
Jake Chambers & Eddie Dean & Susannah Dean & Roland Deschain & Oy
Jake Chambers & Eddie Dean & Susannah Dean & Susan Delgado & Oy
Art: You don't need to show all the characters I requested - just one would be fine. I'd love a Tarot card, a portrait, a domestic scene, something showing off the weirdness of Mid-World, or art from one of my stories in the fandom.
Canon-specific DNW: Susannah's pregnancy and everything associated with it. (Just the pregnancy itself - everything that happened to bring Jake through is fine.) Stephen King as a character.
Regarding my DNW above, I'd enjoy a dark/hurt-comforty take on Susannah's suggestion that the demon might be bisexual, and Roland's answer that if so, they'd take it together.
It's fine if the reason Susan is with the others is because Roland died instead of her. Similarly, temporary character death, alternate universe character death, or death where there will clearly be another turn of the wheel is fine for this fandom. And if you want to include both Roland and Susan, go for it!
I would love an adventure or a bit of h/c or horror, or anything really. How about trapped on opposite sides of a door between worlds, stalked by monsters, trapped in nightmares, squaring off with witches or cyborgs or ghosts or unsettlingly cheerful robots or evil trains, meeting their own doppelgangers, transported into another version of Earth or into their own pasts, or encountering a haunted house, a creepy carnival, an overly friendly town with secret rituals, an apocalypse log, a place of alien geometry, or a haunted painting?
On a more relaxed note, two of my absolute favorite scenes were the ka-tet meeting and eating with Talitha Unwin at River Crossing, and Roland doing the rice dance at Calla Bryn Sturgis, so I'd also love something like that. I love Mid-World culture and its weird echoes of Earth culture. I would be completely happy with 300 words where they sit around the camp fire, forage and hunt, compare stories, etc.
Crossover possibilities: The ka-tet meets their Tethered counterparts, has an encounter with Moder, squares off with vampires in Salem's Lot, wanders into the world of The Stand, meets other King characters, etc.
Dragonriders of Pern - Fic or Art
Menolly & Mirrim
Menolly/Mirrim
Art: I would love something with dragons or fire lizards, or a portrait of the characters, or art from one of my stories in the fandom. You don't need to show all the characters I requested - just one would be fine.
Menolly and Mirrim are favorite characters of mine. I love them together in any way. I'd love to see them on an adventure or getting together or Menolly writing a song about Mirrim or the two of them enjoying a gather or getting caught by unexpected Threadfall or having fun with their fire lizards or watching a Hatching or overseeing a fire lizard hatching or flying with Path - I really love Path.
I also enjoy AUs in which Menolly Impresses a dragon. Or a canon AU where Mirrim and Path find Menolly later than she's found in canon. Or time-traveling with Path. Or Mirrim getting a chance to go off on Menolly's parents.
Earthsea - Ursula K. Le Guin - Fic or art
Ged & Orm Embar
Ged & Serret
Ged & Vetch & Yarrow
Ged & Yarrow
Serret & Tenar
Tenar & Yarrow
Ged & Penthe & Tenar
Ged & Vetch
Ged/Tenar
Penthe & Tenar
Art: I'd love a character portrait or a domestic or action scene, or art from one of my stories in the fandom. Ged and a dragon? Just a dragon? Ged and his otak? Yarrow and her harekki? Vetch floating in mid-air eating a drumstick? You don't need to show all the characters I requested - just one would be fine.
I love the dragons as they were portrayed in the earlier books, the songs and poems and stories, the day-to-day tasks, the magic, the herblore and animals. I'd prefer a story set earlier in canon, before The Farthest Shore. Re & vs / pairings, I'm also happy to ship Penthe/Tenar (or Serret/Tenar), or conversely, to not ship Ged & Tenar.
I'd be equally happy with 300 words of Yarrow and her family eating breakfast or a whole AU of Serret escaping with Ged and them having to deal with each other or anything in between. I love the coziness of the series, but I also love its horror aspects - parts of A Wizard of Earthsea are outright terrifying. So any tone is fine, so long as it doesn't end in utter despair.
I would love to see Ged meeting Orm Embar. Or how Orm Embar came to know his name.
Serret and Tenar were both raised for a terrible purpose and trapped with dark powers and doing cruel things, but Tenar escaped and Serret didn't. I'm very taken with the idea of them meeting. What if Serret's gull had been a little faster? Would she have stayed with Ged for a while, or flown farther, maybe as far as the Tombs of Atuan? Or if she'd lived, might she have come questing to the Tombs later?
Penthe was such a bright, memorable character evoked in a very few scenes, and I shared Tenar's hope that she'd be happy somewhere else after the Tombs fell. Her great dream was to be a dancing girl in the big city (or a cook!); so, she wants freedom and sensual pleasures, good food and pretty things and lots going on around her.
She was chosen as a priestess - could that been because someone sensed some sort of magical potential that she ended up going to the Archipelago to explore, and so ended up on Yarrow's island? (I can't think of a way Yarrow would end up in Kargad, but if you can, feel free.) Did she go to Gont specifically to find Tenar, or did Tenar return to the Kargish lands? I would also enjoy a stolen moment in canon with Tenar-as-Arha. Or a story where she goes with Ged and Tenar after the fall of the Tombs.
Yarrow and Penthe come from very different worlds, but they're both such earthy, grounded characters, living in a world of more powerful/seemingly important people but having their own lives and priorities. I think they'd have a lot in common and would get along well. Maybe Penthe did run, and ran a very, very long way...
Similarly, I really wanted Tenar and Yarrow to meet. They both come from small communities, Tenar's barren but filled with power, Yarrow's domestic and filled with life. Tenar might have found that a refuge, if she'd gone there instead of to Gont. Plus I bet she'd like the harekki.
For Yarrow & Vetch, maybe she comes along on one of his ordinary wizard jobs. Or maybe Ged visits Yarrow, either when she's still a girl or when she's a woman with three daughters. He says she's wise; maybe he has a non-magical problem he wants to talk to her about, like some issue with a student on Roke.
Marvel Comics (X-Men/New Mutants) - Fic or Art

Kitty Pryde & Rachel Summers
Kitty Pryde/Illyana Rasputin
Kitty Pryde/Rachel Summers
Lorna Dane/Alex Summers
Madelyne Pryor & Illyana Rasputin
Madelyne Pryor & Rachel Summers
Jean Grey & Madelyne Pryor
Art: You don't need to show all the characters I requested - just one would be fine. I'd love a pin-up or action pose, a domestic moment or action scene, a comic panel, in unusual outfits (dressed by Limbo demons or Magneto, trying on each other's outfits, etc), using their powers, or art from one of my stories in the fandom. How about Maddie as a WWI pilot and Illyana or Rachel as her gunner?
I'm mostly a fan of Claremont era X-Men & New Mutants. I'm familiar with most of the limited series of that era, like Magik, Kitty & Wolverine, etc.
Feel free to mix-and-match my character sets or add in any characters who existed in that era. I'm a multishipper. For Kitty/Rachel, I'd like it to be set when they're both adults. For Kitty/Illyana, teenagers is fine (but no explicit sex if so).
I love all these characters and would enjoy seeing them in a canon-typical adventure, a canon-typical totally batshit situation, enjoying a domestic moment, hurt-comfort, angst & comfort, being badass, literally anything.
I like Limbo a lot and also time travel, alternate universes, getting lost in time, etc. Anything where you send them to Rachel's horrible future, Limbo where they meet up with tragically/horrifyingly changed versions of themselves, back in time, etc would be a delight.
I love Maddie, especially Maddie of the time period around Gateway's Australia, and I'd love to see her save the day with her piloting skills or generally being a badass normal.
I love angst over difficult-to-control and dangerous powers. I like girls' nights out. I'd be totally happy with 300 words of Illyana realizing what a bad idea it is to get a demon's help fixing a romantic meal, or Lorna and Alex flying on magnetic waves, or Rachel and Illyana bonding over bad childhoods.
The Stand - King - Fic
Jenny Engstrom/Dayna Jurgens
Larry Underwood/Randall Flagg
Nadine Cross/Dayna Jurgens
Nadine Cross/Randall Flagg
Nadine Cross & Dayna Jurgens & Jenny Engstrom
Nadine Cross & Jenny Engstrom & Lloyd Henreid & Whitney Horgan
Nadine Cross & Lloyd Henreid & Randall Flagg
Ray Flowers & Jesse Rider & Peter Goldsmith & Rita Blakemoor
Alice Underwood & Rita Blakemoor & Maria the Oral Hygienist
Fran Goldsmith & Ray Flowers & Harold Lauder
Canon-specific DNW: Nadine ending up comatose/brain-damaged. Dayna's rape backstory from the extended edition.
Flagg being canon-typically rapey is fine. Canon-typical deaths/bad endings are fine. If you're doing a canon-divergence AU, it's fine to have characters die in the superflu who canonically survived.
I'm really into seeing glimpses of their lives, in-canon or pre-or post-canon or in canon-divergent scenarios, or getting to meet or spend time with characters they didn't meet in canon. I always enjoy foreboding takes on their pre-superflu lives. Or what about a Groundhog Day or Peggy Sue scenario? Or one where Captain Trips left the survivors with powers? Feel free to mix-and-match these character sets, or to add other canon characters not in the tag set.
One of the reasons the pre-plague and during-plague sections of the book are so memorable is the wealth of vivid supporting and even cameo characters, like Maria the oral hygienist. She feels like a real person even though we only get a glimpse of her. You just know she's on the phone to her girlfriends bitching about Larry as soon as he gets out of her throwing range. Alice Underwood, with all her prejudices and harshness and love, also feels very real in just a few scenes. So does poor Rita, with her pills and her desperate eagerness to please. I also really liked Ray Flowers, who I thought would be a very interesting character to see have to deal with weird supernatural goings-on. (I liked Kathy Bates' Rae Flowers from the 1990 miniseries, so fine to use her instead.)
Would Maria and Alice and Rita have left New York, or figured out a way to survive in it? How would Flagg have tempted them? How would Harold and Frannie have dealt with meeting someone other than Stu as their first other survivor? What if Peter Goldsmith had had to travel with Jesse Rider? Feel free to have them run into each other or any other characters, whether they survived in canon or not.
Dayna Jurgens, canon bisexual who goes after the Devil with a switchblade: what's not to love? IMO she's one of King's single most badass characters. I'd love to see a canon AU where she escapes or never got caught in the first place, or a bit of her pre-plague life with some ominous foreshadowing. I ship her with basically all the other female characters, so you could have some fun with that.
I'd love to see glimpses of Flagg wreaking havoc we didn't get to see in the book, whether wandering through other King books to trash the lives of hapless characters or just making his way across America and leaving a trail of destruction behind him. I also love the idea of him checking in on canon characters pre-plague and maybe attempting to give their lives a little nudge, even if he doesn't know why he's doing it.
The ouija board scene with Nadine was amazing - maybe more glimpses of Flagg toying with her pre-plague, or during/immediately post-plague? What if she defied him pre-plague? What if she went straight to Vegas? What if he wanted something different from her than a baby? What if he tempted her with power rather than sex? There's something a bit spooky and otherworldly about Nadine - did she have a touch of the shining, and that's why he was after her specifically? What if she did something else with it?
I'm fascinated by how the characters grapple with what's going on in Vegas and how far they're willing to go to sustain it or bring it down. I love takes on "What if Vegas characters had tried to run or rebel earlier?" and "What if the characters had ended up in different places?"
I loved the "dancing as fast as I can" atmosphere of the repopulated Vegas, with the spies and the people wondering if maybe they should leave and the people who seem to have gotten there by accident and the people who you could really see why there were there and the veneer of civilization atop terror and cruelty. A moment in that setting would be great, whether literally exploring a bit of town we didn't see in the book or trying to have a conversation Flagg doesn't hear.
Or, what if Flagg was killed or driven away from Vegas, but the other Vegas characters survived and had to pick up the pieces without him? What if Whitney Horgan had actually managed to incite an uprising? What if his group had successfully escaped, with or without Lloyd - would Flagg have pursued them?
Or maybe they meet in Boulder, or on the road before they get to either of their destinations. Only one tent. Do they go their separate ways, or stay together?
Tillerman Chronicles - Cynthia Voigt - Fic
Dicey & James & Maybeth & Sammy & Abigail "Gram" Tillerman
Dicey & James & Maybeth & Sammy Tillerman
Dicey Tillerman & Maybeth Tillerman
Dicey Tillerman & Mina Smiths
I love all the Tillermans and their friends, so feel free to include anyone. I love the emotional delicacy of the books and their sometimes-dreamy atmospheres (like Jeff on the rollercoaster) combined with the precise details of their lives: a wooden box, a boat, a folk song, a food budget.
I'd love to see more of them, in canon time or later. I'd love to know how Dicey sorted things out in the end and how Maybeth grew up. I'd also love to just see Mina and Dicey hanging out, or a family dinner. The gifts in Dicey's Song were very striking, as was Dicey picking out yarn. I'd love something along those lines, buying or making presents as a reflection of character and relationships.
I like folk music and am familiar with the songs in the book. If you want to include or even be inspired by a folk song, I would enjoy that.
True Detective- Fic
Rustin "Rust" Cohle/Martin "Marty" Hart
Rustin "Rust" Cohle & Martin "Marty" Hart
What if the hints and references to cosmic horror were real, and the cultists really did summon something supernatural? Rust always seemed in touch (way too in-touch) with some kind of otherworldly darkness; what if he has some kind of X-Men more-curse-than-blessing type power (possibly via noncon experimentation) or looked into a Lovecraftian abyss and now an eldritch horror has its claws into him?
I would also be happy with 300 words of Rust pontificating in a car while Marty tries to shut him up or secretly enjoys it. I love h/c, so maybe Marty trying to get Rust to eat or dealing with the fallout of some Crash-related incident? Crash doing some sex work? High or in withdrawal? Undercover as a couple?
I'm OK with permanent character death for this fandom (like in the context of a cosmic apocalypse) so long as they're together till the end.
Potential crossovers: Rust and Marty visit Mid-World (after death is fine, like if they'd died of their wounds in the finale) or do the Long Walk (either as teenagers or in an AU where it's for adults).
